Allsaints Jennings Khaki Brown Suede Biker Jacket Review

With the warmer climate approaching soon, my attention has been turning towards a summer appropriate jacket. My wardrobe is currently devoid of a suitable candidate for once the heatwave kicks in! So, as if by fate I happened across the Allsaints Jennings Khaki Suede Jacket.

From past experience, I couldn’t procrastinate for long, the smallest sizes sell out fast! In fact my size was in low stock from the moment I laid eyes on it. So within a few days of working out if my finances would allow it, I decided to purchase the XS before it disappeared.

I was expecting the jacket to fit sightly big, most of my other Allsaints coats and jackets have been a touch oversized in the arms and the sleeve length too long (see my Allsaints Cargo leather jacket review). This is usually a critical point on whether I keep it or return it. To my surprise, I couldn’t have wished for a better fit! The width of the arms was a dream, nice and slim without any need to pad it out with a thicker jumper (this could have been a big problem as it was for summer!) additionally the sleeve length was spot on, hitting more or less directly onto my wrist. The rest of the jacket was no slouch in the fit department either, sitting accurately on my shoulders to create a great shape. The bottom hem sits expertly on the waist band of my jeans. So far so good!

I was initially attracted to its light tan colour (as visualised online) however, the actual real life colour is slightly different. It is actually a more dusty light brown colour, I was a little disappointed initially, but once I’d seen it outside in the natural light I found I preferred its true colour. Matches quite well with a selection of colours, in fact is equally appropriate for autumn tones as well as the forthcoming spring and summer hues.

To touch, it definitely has a feeling of quality! Soft and supple suede, although it feels more like a nubuck leather, which is fine by me as its one of my most favourite materials! Despite its delicate feel, I believe it can withstand some heavy wear, although I would certainly avoid any torrential downpours!

So in conclusion, I’m very happy with my spontaneous purchase of the Allsaints Jennings Khaki Suede Biker Jacket and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a summer outerwear wardrobe addition . Please let me know on my mens fashion blog what you think in the comments below!
