Levis Denim Shorts At Porthminster Beach Outfit
As you can tell from the accompanying images, this outfit post is definitely not the typical backdrop we usually use on my mens fashion blog. We were actually on vacation and intended it to be work free, but we decided it would be a wasted opportunity to not take advantage of the gorgeous scenery for photos.
The day these were taken we never intended to take any snaps, we were taking a casual stroll along the beautiful Porthminster Beach at St.Ives in Cornwall. The sun was soon due to set, the amazing array of colours in the sky was a sight to behold! We came to the sudden decision we needed to capture this moment as the perfect scenery for our outfit photos. We did have the camera with us, but we had the ‘wrong’ lens in the bag. I took a quick dash back up to our hotel (fortunately it is not situated too far from the beach!) and grabbed the portrait lens before darting back down the hill to the sand. Luckily the sun did not disappear over the horizon before we managed to successfully finish the shoot!
As these pictures were unplanned, my outfit is a rather simple beach style affair! My vintage pair of Levi’s Denim Shorts which I purchased last year from Urban Outfitters which feature an amazingly deep distressed blue wash (if vintage denim is not your thing, there is a superb selection of shorts here which are a great alternative!). I paired the shorts with a simple brown slim fit T Shirt from ASOS (with my current favourite rolled up sleeves!). For my headwear I chose my distressed denim Calvin Klein baseball cap which I’ve had my eye on for months! It was never available in the UK, but as luck would have it and employee from UO was selling one in the US and I snagged it for a bargain price! More readily available is the Calvin Klein Re-Issue Denim Cap which is an alternative option if you cannot obtain the one I am wearing in this outfit. I completed the summer beach look with a pair of Ray Ban aviators with gorgeous blue lenses! I am a huge fan of these style of sunglasses, as you may have guessed from my past few outfit posts!
