Men’s Citizens Of Humanity Carlie Crop Outfit With Burberry Scarf

Another outfit post, another new pair of women’s skinny jeans for me to try! This time it is a pair of Citizens Of Humanity Carlie Crop High Rise Skinny Jeans in shadow. I’ve been looking for a grey pair of jeans for some time, despite its simple colour, most brands fail to achieve that perfect shade I’ve been craving.

Citizens however have pretty much nailed it for me, the grey has an unmatched depth to it, with just the right amount of darkness and a subtle hint of lap whiskering. Compared to my Citizens Of Humanity Rocket Crop In Aura, these are an even higher rise. This in itself has a negative, making them pretty difficult to button up, but despite this, the fit in the legs and seat area is just as good. But in retrospect I should have sized up from the 27 purely because of the waist area! Noted for next time. Otherwise they are an equally comfortable pair to add to my collection. The inseam length is also a little longer than my previous crops, perhaps as much as an inch, so if anything I prefer this increase.

This was also my very first outing wearing my beloved Burberry Scarf In Bright Cornflower Blue, it was just breezy enough to need some neck protection but not cold enough to need a coat! So my scarf got its chance to shine without any competition from cumbersome winter wear.

I actually had the scarf in my possession for a short while, but was waiting for suitable clothing to accompany it – my normal autumn and winter wear is the typical browns, orange and burgundy shades, totally incompatible with this vibrant blue! I found the perfect slim fit sweater in a stunning navy colour from ASOS. I finished off the look with my current go to footwear, my Topman White Fashion Trainers. Please let me know what you think of my latest outfit?

It’s a really nice shade of grey – and such a good pairing with that scarf. 🙂

One thing I really like about women’s jeans is that they actually fit the waist the way I wish men’s jeans/pants would fit.

I agree, its like a whole new world discovered after trying these super stretchy women’s jeans! I haven’t even looked at any men’s brands since.
