Kurt Geiger Baxter Chelsea Boots Review

Kurt Geiger Baxter Chelsea Boots

I’ve always been a fan of the classic chelsea boot, with its simple design and sleek pointy shape, those Victorians sure knew how to design a shoe! History tells us they’ve been a fashion choice for many for nigh on two centuries. Along with its timeless design, they yield a brilliant idea of including elasticated side panelling, enabling you to slip them on when caught in a pinch. With all these positives, I felt it was long overdue to add my own pair to my wardrobe. Casually looking around it wasn’t long before I caught a glimpse of what could be my perfect Chelsea boot.

I’m very familiar with the brand Kurt Geiger, yet never actually went all the way and tried on a pair of their shoes or boots. But when I clasped eyes on their Kurt Geiger Baxter Chelsea Boots in a dark brown colour, I was instantly attracted to them, in a supple suede no less for that extra touch of sophistication normal leather never seems to be able to achieve.

Upon receiving these new boots the craftsmanship was instantly impressive, boasting superb structure and a great shape overall. My praise continued as I easily pulled them on without as much as a hitch. Fitting nice and snug around the foot and slim enough around the ankle to allow my numerous male styled women’s skinny jeans to fit perfectly over the top. So far so good!

I decided to give them a more aggressive test, plenty of walking was a sure fire way to check out if there were any downsides. This too pleasantly surprised me, many hours passed marching through the town and they felt just as soft on the feet with barely a hint of discomfort or pain. I took a size 8 or 42 which is my usual size and they fit true to size for me.

Finally, the colour, a lovely darkish brown, matching those autumn/winter clothing choices with ease! Also, its a breath of fresh air compared to the all too common tan boots, which have oversaturated the market of late! These are extremely versatile and go with everything I have tried so far, including my ALLSAINTS Falun Coat in Charcoal Grey, it’s a great combination.

So in summary, I’m very satisfied with my new purchase, I will surely be wearing the Kurt Geiger Baxter Chelsea Boots on many occasions on my men’s fashion blog over the next few months. I can safely say they will be in regular rotation. What do you think of them? Buy these Baxter boots at Kurt Geiger for £115.
