Regular readers of my fashion blog will already be well aware of the Gentlebands brand—they offer a huge range of ring designs in different styles, colours, and materials (even dinosaur bone and meteorite). I have featured their items with a variety of different content—from reviews (gaining top marks) to content with my Dad (showcasing his life story) and my partner too (for cool and unique “Adam & Eve” visuals).
Athos Collection
For their newest range, they have delved into Ancient Greece for their inspiration, paying tribute to their legends by offering a ‘sporty’ based selection of pieces. They have created several new rings for this collaboration (using legendary Grecian names) but also dipped their toe into the cufflinks market, which is the focus of this latest blog post.
Gentlebands started with a modest collection of 5 cufflink styles—my chosen picks were the ‘Home Run’ featuring a baseball ‘ball’ and ‘glove’ and the ‘Gear Chronicle’, which is constructed around the intricate workings of a watch or clock (the idea that these items transcend time).
The quality of these tiny, intricate items is fantastic. Even the smallest detail has been crafted to the highest order, and you will be more than happy to rock these even at the most prestigious of events. Additionally, each set arrives safely packaged in its own solid black gift box (with the cufflinks held safely in place).
Baseball Inspired Outfit
I decided to run with the baseball idea for the visuals in my post and include an actual baseball bat and ball. Pairing with a smart blazer, shirt, and tie, this ensemble is truly eclectic and certainly stands out (especially when paired with the ‘Home Run’ cufflinks). Additionally, I feel that my ensemble (with a colour palette of grey and orange) shows off the design of these high-quality accessories to the fullest.
Keen eyes will also notice that I am wearing three new Gentlebands rings—the Amphitrite, Ares, and Atlas. These are wonderful new additions to my ever-growing collection of jewellery pieces! (The Amphitrite is particularly eye-catching with its glint of colour along the band, thanks to the mix of tungsten and abalone.
It is not unusual for passers-by to stare and watch during the content-creation process – however, using these baseball props certainly gained a lot of extra attention! If anything, telling me that it was a great look! (in fact, a few onlookers even grabbed their smartphones and attempted to secretly video the shoot).
