1 Could you tell me more about the Alaskan Leather Company?
Alaskan Leather Company is a passion. It’s a commitment to bringing original leather within reach of the everyday user. The free soul who loves to explore, the retired grandparents exploring the globe, the housewife looking for a handy crossbody bag to finish those everyday chores, and the exuberant new entrant to the job market.
The brand aspires to tell the story of original leather in a whole different way and make it a household item, free from the monopoly of big brands/stores.
Furthermore, we intend to bring perfection to our processes, materials, and work ethic every day, while keeping our global audience in mind—the everyday people who hustle and care for those around them, aiming to give them leather accessories that are beautiful yet affordable and bring with them a promise of lifelong service.
2 What inspired you to launch Alaskan Leather Company?
Well, a few factors combined to bring Alaskan Leather Company to life. My passion to do something out of the box – something different from my years-long laborious 9-to-5. My attraction to stylish, vintage artefacts. Things that stay the course and have a story. And my curious yet collaborative brother, Moiz, who stays far away from me in another country.
3 What is the most popular jacket that you sell?
Our Vince Cognac Brown Leather Jacket is the most popular outerwear item in our store. It blends western style seamlessly with sumptuous original lambskin leather, which features a mesmerising cognac brown tone. Guys love it, and quite a few people gift this jacket to their loved ones.
4 What is the most popular bag that you sell?
There are a few bags competing for the number one spot, but the Petra Leather Laptop Bag edges ahead of the others. Once more, the cognac-brown waxed two-tone shade, wild western silhouette, and original cow leather come together to give us something that has class written all over it. It’s functional, dapper, and has a stylish personality that makes you want to keep going back to it all the time (there is an alternative black version, too).
5 What is the favourite product that you sell?
We love selling leather backpacks, and they are the most popular category on our store. We have a wide range of them, possibly the biggest on the internet. Having said that, if I had to choose one product, it would be the Wagner Leather Pilot Bag – it delivers resourcefulness with noticeable swagger.
It’s a good bag to have, whether you intend to fill it to the brim or stun the audience. This bag surely is going to get you noticed anywhere—definitely my personal favourite. We also have a select range of different pilot bags in our store, and almost all of them have their own fan base.
6 What is next for Alaskan Leather Company?
The sky is the limit, to be honest. We just launched a whole new range of men’s and women’s leather bomber jackets, and already have a leather wallet and card holder category. Soon, we intend to enter the small leather goods category, providing our customers with unique accessories for daily household use or as gifts. Lastly, we are thinking along the lines of leather rugs, leather cigar holders, and table covers.
7 Finally, is there anything else you would like to add?
On a final note, I would like to say that leather is a special gift from nature that everyone should embrace. These products have a strong personality and only become more attractive over time. Invest in an original leather-crafted product, and you will only cherish your investment in the long run.
