How To Style Short Sleeve Summer Shirts With Double Two
During the summer season, my number one go-to is a classic casual shirt. Its blend of unrestrictive shorter sleeves and easy-to-wear style makes it a superb choice when the temperature starts to rise. It is no secret that I am a huge fan of the Double Two Shirts brand. I have featured their cool button-ups several times on my men’s fashion blog and on my Instagram page, too. Yet, I have to say their newest summer range is the very best yet! It offers a fantastic mix of bold and bright colours for those with an outlandish fashion sense or more classic and timeless pieces in muted tones (definitely something for everyone!).
Eve and I recently travelled to the beautiful region of Zakynthos, Greece, staying at the fantastic Lesante Blu hotel (reviewed here by Eve). We used this stunning location to produce the images of these shirts (along with videos that you can find on my Instagram). Both were created using Eve’s camera skills and the striking scenery as a backdrop.
Without further ado, let’s dive straight in and check out my different looks with their new shirts!
Double Two Navy & Pink Hawaiian Casual Shirt
The first shirt is an eye-catching navy and pink design, using deep blue for the main body and a sprinkling of pink petals scattered heavily across the fabric. Undoubtedly a pure summer item, this short-sleeved button-up is definitely a winner if you travel abroad this year. I pair the Double Two shirt with medium brown shorts and a number of accessories—rings, bracelets, and a pair of Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses (my typical go-to!).
Double Two Navy Tropical Leaf Print Cotton Shirt
Next up is a short-sleeved button-up that could easily be the more reserved brother of the previous shirt. Once again, Double Two used deep navy as the primary colour, which was then mixed with a tropical leaf design in contrasting bright white. This is another excellent choice for your upcoming vacation. I wore this little number open with a light grey marl vest (showing off my gothic cross necklace) and light grey formal chino shorts to add a smart edge to the ensemble.
Double Two Stone Linen Blend Short Sleeve Shirt
Finally, we have a classic stone shirt in linen (ideal for those hotter temperatures as it is lighter weight and great for travel). This neutral-toned grey shirt (with warm undertones) was worn with smart grey shorts, jewellery pieces, and my Citizen Eco-Drive Watch (a lovely gift from Eve).
