Burberry Classic Cashmere Scarf In Bright Cornflower Blue Review

Burberry Classic Cashmere Scarf In Bright Cornflower Blue

I’ve been eying up this particular scarf from Burberry for a few months now, the Large Classic Cashmere Scarf In Bright Cornflower Blue. I was instantly attracted to its vibrant colour! Quite different from the typical darker hues that usually dominate around winter time. Only viewing the scarf online, I was eagerly awaiting its arrival, hoping it lived up to expectations.

Upon opening the impressive packaging (each Burberry scarf comes carefully rolled inside a cardboard tube embossed with gold lettering with ribbon tied around) I unravelled the soft cashmere and was instantly blown away by the beautiful colour. My concerns that its phenomenal brightness was thanks to post processing of their photos has been unfounded. Pleasantly surprised I was wrong, it is genuinely as striking in the flesh. Featuring their world famous check and using a combination of the aforementioned Bright Cornflower Blue, mixed with patches of darker blue, grey, white and black sections.

This colour is one of the handful available in two different lengths, standard and long. I picked the latter as it allows for more fashionable ways to tie the scarf. Its total length is 200mm long compared to the standard size of 168mm.

As breathtaking as its colour is, it also has a slight negative in that its not suitable to wear with the majority of my cold weather clothing pieces. Generally I am drawn to the typical autumn hues, such as browns and reds – deeply unsuitable for this bright blue colouring. As such I’ve had to adapt my wardrobe this year to accommodate more blacks, greys and navy just for this scarf!

Rounding up, as you can probably conclude, I highly recommend this Bright Cornflower Blue Scarf from Burberry, it definitely will be one of my top accessory choices for the considerable future and I will be wearing it on my Men’s Fashion Blog in an assortment of outfits. Do you like it?

Oh yes! I think it’s a beautiful item. Those blues are wonderfully vivid… though, like you, I’d be a bit unsure as to what in my existing wardrobe it could go with. My main winter coat is a deep brown. 😀 But this is a lovely scarf.

It is definitely a special looking scarf, the bright blue is uncommon. I’ve since obtained some wardrobe items that compliment it, thankfully! 🙂
