Stiksen is a relatively young brand, launched in Sweden with a mission to create perfect headwear for its customers. Each of their products offers a sleek aesthetic, a great fit, and is manufactured using sustainable materials. Stiksen currently offers a number of cap designs, with a variety of quality fabrics (including ventile, canvas, recycled nylon, and high-end wool-cashmere), and standout colourways that range from muted tones to bright and bold hues.

For the following review, I will focus on the Stiksen 105 Recylon Cap in brown –
Style & Design
The Recylon 105 is unique in that it is described as a ‘Dad Cap’ rather than a traditional baseball cap (although Stiksen has the 107 in its roster, which fits that category). The shape features a much lower profile (compared to its more well-known siblings) and unstructured front panels, creating a very distinctive visual appearance. The cap comes in three sizes and features a mid-profile six-panelled crown and an adjustable strap on the reverse (so it is suitable for almost every head type and shape). There is very little branding on show (keeping the minimalist effect on-point), with just the silver ’S’ placed on the left-hand edge of the main body. This model is available in 4 unique colours – Black, Navy, Olive, and Brown.
Wearability
The stylish 105 cap design is the perfect complement to a multitude of different fashionable looks – from the typical casual variety (such as a chunky knit, plaid trucker shirt, or even a sherpa jacket – as seen in the photos!), to something more formal (with a fashionable bent) like a tailored blazer, peacoat or a knitted V-neck and clean white button-up combo. One thing is for sure, this Dad Cap will quickly elevate your status to something truly standout and memorable. Depending on your chosen colourway, you would need to pair your clothing pieces accordingly (my brown cap was paired effectively with a matching roll-neck jumper, and outerwear in complementary tan).
Construction
Stiksen are big on looking after the environment, with a focus on sustainability, and this is apparent in the Recyclon 105 – each cap is made from 100% recycled Japanese nylon. Furthermore, the lining is crafted from a super soft satin which ensures a comfortable fit (and as a bonus, is extra kind to your locks – although you still have to deal with the dreaded hat hair!).
Another top-selling point is that the cap is water-repellent, so even if you get caught out in the rain, your head will stay dry! In fact, the water will simply roll off the sides and the peak of the hat, keeping your face dry, so you will arrive at your destination as you intended.
Value For Money
In order to acquire quality gear (especially clothing), it is essential to open your wallet and splash some extra cash. Headwear is no exception, and the Stiksen caps are undoubtedly sitting at the higher end of the scale (between £55-119), with the 105 Recylon retailing at £105. Nevertheless, with the sheer level of quality on offer, excellent construction, sustainability boxes ticked, and the end product looking fantastic, the cost is more than justified (and you will be rocking one of their caps for many years to come).
Conclusion
If you are currently in the market for a new hat to complete your regular choice of accessories, then Stiksen has you covered – the 105 Recylon Dad Cap will be a great addition, and I wholeheartedly give it top marks. Head on over to their site and check them out today.
