WIS Straps Rotary Avenger Review
Rather than splash out on a brand new timepiece, you can effectively refresh its visual appeal with a simple strap changeover. In my latest review, I will share how I upgraded a Rotary Avenger Watch with a beige-toned WIS Straps number. Take a look below!

I featured the WIS straps brand on my blog a few months ago (exchanging the difficult-to-use bracelet on my Father’s Tag Heuer – click here), to much high praise. Dad now wears his Automatic Formula 1 timepiece on a regular basis. We both share a love of horological pieces (Father like son), so he also enjoys wearing his Rotary Avenger Sport, which unfortunately resulted in a damaged strap. The leather was starting to look tired, frayed and eventually fell apart! As such, I looked once more at WIS Straps to save the day with one of their beautiful beige sailcloth straps.
Style & Design
To coordinate the design of the Rotary Watch with the most visually appealing strap, I opted for the beige sailcloth model. The combination of a creamy off-white colourway (in a waterproof material) and brushed silver buckle complemented the silver casing and face of the Avenger, which easily elevated its already striking good looks into something undeniably classy. This timepiece could easily pair with a three-piece suit or even a tuxedo at a luxury event.
Ease Of Use
As discussed in my earlier review, replacing the strap on the Rotary Avenger is a straightforward process. You need a spring bar tool, which is available from your local watch repair store (or even direct from WIS Straps), allowing you to remove the flanges holding the existing strap in place. To attach the quality sailcloth replacement, it is a very easy process.
The brand has seen fit to include a metal tab (within the fabric) which you can close with your fingers as you manoeuvre the strap between the lugs, then release – operation completed, as simple as that.
For this model of watch (which features a smaller-sized casing), I selected the 18mm buckle width – a snug yet secure fit.
Quality
The level of quality provided by WIS Straps is second to none; the fabric, metal hardware and even packaging are exemplary. Whether you are swapping out the strap on a high-street style watch or a high-end Swiss automatic, your new strap will certainly look the business!
Value For Money
WIS Straps offers a number of different styles and faces within their collection, and the beige sailcloth 18mm sits comfortably in the £40-£45 bracket – a price point that even your bank manager will be happy about!
Conclusion
If you are looking to revitalise your worn-out watch with a brand-new strap (whether it is similar to the Rotary Avenger or something entirely different), then WIS Straps should be your next point of call! Head on over to their exclusive page and place your order today!
