Ultimate Performance Insoles Review
If you are an active guy who enjoys outdoor adventures and activities, your feet (and footwear) must be up to the task at hand. However, sometimes an extra level of support is needed to prevent damage and injuries. This is where Ultimate Performance Insoles come into play. Find out more in my latest review.

Ultimate Performance is a brand synonymous with health and fitness for the entire body. Since 2011, they have offered an extensive array of products that help active go-getters defend themselves against harm and injuries, so they do not have to negatively interrupt their fitness goals (or even just their day-to-day activities).
Whether you are recovering from an accident or injury (or looking to support an area of the body which is lacking or structurally weak), Ultimate Performance will have your back. The brand offers braces and supports for areas ranging from the feet, legs, and groin to the shoulders, back, elbows, and wrists.
Furthermore, they have four levels of support available, which I have detailed here –
- Level 1 – Basic – providing fantastic support for simple sprains.
- Level 2 – Moderate – ideal to support mild instabilities and strains.
- Level 3 – Pro – this option offers high-level support for moderate to severe sprains.
- Level 4 – Maximum – finally, we have the products that have been fully built from the ground up to provide unparalleled suitability for severe ligament and tendon issues and injuries.
As a final point, each of their products is available in a variety of sizes (after all, everyone is different), and they are also bilateral, allowing them to be worn on either the left or right side.
For the purpose of my review, I will focus on their sole inserts. I will be checking two different models from their collection to gain a broader understanding of their functionality.

Ultimate Performance Advanced F3D Neutral Insole
First up, we have the Advanced F3D Neutral Insole, which aims to protect your feet from injury during everyday activity. They are suitable for both runners and walkers alike, with built-in F3D shock-absorbing material that disperses up to 95% of high-frequency shockwaves caused by hard surfaces (such as paving, roads, or even challenging country trails). These vibrations create microtraumas each time the soft tissue on and around the foot (tendons and muscles) hits the ground with force, which can develop into severe problems.
The TPU arch features a PU foam core, allowing you to take advantage of a superior foot angle and position that creates better support and stability. Furthermore, you will experience improved propulsion and enhanced alignment (helping to avoid unwanted injuries during walking and running).
The F3D insoles have been created to target a variety of different issues, which include –
- Plantar fasciitis
- Bruised heel
- Achilles tendonitis
- Compartment syndrome
- Shin splints
- Patella tendonitis
- Patellofemoral pain
- ITB syndrome
Ultimate Performance Active Cushion Insole
Next, we have the Ultimate Performance Active Cushion Insole, designed for everyday wear. Aimed to fully support your feet for running, walking, and even standing (ideal if your career demands you are on your feet all day long, without very few breaks). It may provide less structural support than its more advanced big brother, but that doesn’t stop it from working hard to deliver top-tier cushioning, improving your movement and reducing strain on your feet and ankles.
These insoles have been constructed using high-quality materials to create a premium product, including an F3D insole, a PU foam core, and a TCU brace with a full-length design (which features a met pad to distribute pressure across the foot, aiding overall alignment and posture).
In short, the active cushion insoles are the perfect choice for active men who are regularly standing and walking throughout the day (whether due to their daily work schedule, fitness regime, or even impromptu shopping trips).
Ultimate Performance recommends wearing these insoles gradually over 1-2 weeks so your body can slowly adapt to the improved posture.
Wet Foot Test
Ultimate Performance over a variety of different insoles, which are built to match individual foot shapes. Not many guys know what type of foot they have, but fortunately, you can take an easy wet-foot test. You simply lay a piece of plain paper or card on the ground, dip your foot in water and place it on top. The wet outline will display your unique foot shape. Then refer to their guide (available on their website and below) to find out which type of insole is best for you.
Packaging
Each set of insoles comes packaged in a sturdy box, featuring all of the necessary information required (before you make a purchase). Additionally, there is a cut-out section so you can physically touch the insole in advance (so you can feel the material).
The artwork stands out in eye-catching blue, white and black – it’s not trying to be high-end fashion, but hitting the sports market, which it does admirably!
Value For Money
The cost of each insole set sits at a more than reasonable £20 price point, especially with the quality provided by Ultimate Performance. For this minimal outlay, you will be able to defend your feet from pain and injuries during regular walking excursions or even heavy-duty exercise regimes.
Final Thoughts
If you are a keen fitness fanatic or are currently recovering from an injury, Ultimate Performance will have you covered. They offer a vast selection of products to shield you during your workouts (and even in everyday activities). The brand’s collection of insoles is definitely a key player in its range, protecting your feet and ankles from accidents and injuries at a fantastic price point that won’t break the bank! They will definitely be an essential extra in your lifestyle tool kit.
