Hair Systems – How It Works
It can understandably be a daunting experience when first looking at hair systems (especially given the unwarranted stigma around men’s ‘wigs’). Nevertheless, it is a relatively simple affair.
Once you have made your purchase (whether standard or custom), you need to trim your hair (either leave a little length or completely shaved), apply the tape or glue (your preference), gently place the system onto your head and press down (holding in place for a few minutes to ensure it is securely fixed in place).
You are safe to wash and style your hair as needed. Typically, you will need to remove the system every 3-6 weeks (you will notice it becoming looser). Once this happens, you peel it away from your head and proceed with cleaning. You need to remove excess glue from the hair and the base, as well as from your head. Once everything has been cleaned, you can begin the process again.
Special note: you can even invest in a marking pencil to ensure the system hits the same spot on your head, as well as adhesive removal liquid and absorbent pads.

As someone who has worn hair systems for seven years, my personal favourite is our Lordhair Neo. It’s the system I reach for day after day because it genuinely represents what modern hair replacement should feel like — natural, breathable, and secure without compromise.

How did you decide on the name Lordhair?
The name “Lordhair” was chosen to convey a sense of dignity and presence. “Lord” evokes confidence and self-assurance — exactly what many of us are looking to reclaim when we address hair loss. “Hair” keeps the name honest and straightforward.
As someone who has worn systems for years, I appreciate that it’s not about pretending to be someone else; it’s about feeling like yourself again. The name reflects that quiet, grounded confidence.
