Allsaints Cowboy Check Shirt And Boots Outfit
For the longest time, I have shunned away from wearing shirts, in particular check printed designs in the cowboy/lumberjack niche. But as always, I finally break and eventually give them a try. Read on to find out what influenced my change of heart!
With cowboy style shirts, I’ve always found that they work better on other people, rather than myself. I see these colourful and sometimes abstract patterns online (and in real life) and I wish that I could get away with wearing them, but I know I would never wear something so vivid. So my aim was to hunt out and find a shirt which had the pattern I desired, but with a much more muted colour palette to gently break me into the trend.
Outfit
Recently it came to my attention that the AllSaints online store has a somewhat hidden away outlet section, containing a fairly large selection of pieces from past collections and at a very reasonable price. Amongst the available items was a check shirt which had caught my eye a few seasons ago (which I regrettably let slip away), its price was an astonishingly cheap £30! (For anyone who knows anything about AllSaints, this is quite a steal!). History was determined to repeat itself, I made the mistake of procrastinating over the decision to purchase and it went out of stock one more. I was starting to get the impression that it was never meant to be, I checked once more and to my astonishment, it was back in stock again (Although I was now beginning to worry why it had been returned again, not to mention the fact it was in the outlet in the first place). This time I took no chances, grabbing the opportunity firmly with both hands and ordering it swiftly.
The shirt is actually beautiful and fits like a dream, so happy that I was given all of these chances to own it, definitely worth the trouble to obtain it! The colour is muted enough for me to feel comfortable wearing it, yet still contains enough vibrancy to offer something different to my usual outfits. This success story has certainly opened the doors for future cowboy shirt additions in the future.
For the rest of my outfit, I wore my current favourite jeans from USA Brand – Frame. I have been unashamedly wearing these none stop over the last few weeks, the wash, distressing and fit are a winning combination for my high standards when it comes to denim. My footwear choice was my Common Projects Chelsea Boots which I featured quite recently in their own dedicated review blog post. My simple plain white T-Shirt was one of the classics from ASOS (which I have recently worn almost repeatedly) My whole ensemble was definitely a nod to that classic cowboy style which I am a big fan of, with my new found love of check shirts, I can happily wear similar looks in forthcoming outfits.
Location
We actually used the same location for this shoot as we did for my Men’s Skinny Fit Pinstripe Suit Outfit, those timeless classic and clean Bath City streets combined with elegant black railings is equally suitable for a slightly more casual outfit vibe. The side street we found is ideal as there is little traffic from either vehicles or pedestrians!

Hello, I was wondering what size you wore in this all saints shirt? Thank you.

Hi Shawn, the shirt was a size XS (I generally choose XS in AllSaints, only occasionally sizing up to a S in certain styles if they run smaller). Thanks!
