Levis Icy Trucker Denim Jacket And Adidas Charcoal Gazelle Outfit
I’ve always liked the idea of owning a Levi’s denim jacket, stylish and iconic in equal measure. But I’ve always been under the assumption that they wouldn’t fit how I desire, so I always gave up at the last hurdle. Finally this time I decided I owed it to myself to at least try one!
Browsing the Levi’s website, I was quickly greeted with their large selection of denim jackets! I quickly narrowed my choice down to the Levis Trucker Denim Jacket in Icy. I was actually amazed that not only do they now stock XS in their jackets, but also an XXS (or as they list it, 2XS) without a 2nd thought I’d placed both smaller sizes in my basket and completed the transaction. I was fully expecting the smallest size to be the most suitable for my frame, but to my surprise, it was the XS which was the perfect fit. In fact the 2XS was way too small, I could barely get my arm inside. Additionally, their was quite a difference in colouring and distressing between the two; as luck would have it, the one I would be keeping had the more attractive wash.
I coordinated my new denim jacket with one of my favourite jeans (naturally women’s skinny jeans for men to ensure that comfortable fit!) to create a double denim look. The J Brand Maria High Rise Skinny Jeans in Dove Wash complemented the light stonewash wonderfully with its medium grey tones and sleek fit. Footwear, I finally had an opportunity to premiere my Adidas Gazelle in Charcoal Grey, despite not being a huge fan of sports brands, I love these sneakers! The colour and comfort is amazing! Of course, my outfit wouldn’t be complete without some kind of head gear, today’s choice was a pale grey wool beanie hat to keep that pesky winter breeze at bay, although it won’t be long till the spring weather will banish those away for good! Please let me know what you think of my outfit in the comments below!
love the different color denim on denim.. and those kicks!

Thank you! You should definitely give women’s skinny jeans a go, they are super comfy and really skinny. Especially the fabric blends that I’ve got, I love them.
cool thanks for the encouragement Adam, really loving your posts and style – will try some women’s skinny jeans, haven’t quite been brave enough yet – what’s your recommendation for the first one to try?… also was thinking do have you an opinion on leggings/meggings?…

Well, it may be best to first try a super stretchy and comfortable pair! My choice would be a pair of Hudson Barbara, high rise and skinny. Try to find a pair with Tencel in the material, in my experience they are the most stretchy. I know they have a pair out currently in ‘bazooka’ wash. Its a washed black colour. If you can find them, go for the Hudson Barbara in ‘Hideaway’ wash, I have 2 pairs and they are the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever tried.
This is the Hudson Bazooka

In regards to meggings, I’ve never actually tried them. They are the ones without pockets?
yes they are the popular leggings with no pockets. i found a camo print. yes the ones i found are labeled for women, but men can wear them too if you want to. very long shirt though! i still yet to wear them out, since i’m still in love with most of my women’s skinny jeans and it does take guts to wear leggings with no many closed minded people out there.

I bet the camo print ones look pretty cool! I’m not ready for meggings just yet, besides I’d miss the pockets!
That jacket is such a gorgeous blue! I used to have a couple of Levi’s denim jackets quite a few years ago and I always enjoyed wearing them. These photos tempt me a bit towards getting another again. 🙂

I think you should! This was actually the first Levi’s jacket I’ve ever tried!
Hi Adam,
I’ve just ordered this jacket, amazing colour in my opinion! The outfit goes together really well.
However in your article you said you bought xs, just for reference so we can get a better concept of the fit, what’s your height and weight?
Thanks pal.

Hey Aaron,
Yeah its an amazing denim jacket! Even more surprising was that Levi’s fitted slim. I’m around 5′ 8″ or 9″ and 10 Stone 5 (give or take).
