Mickey Mouse Retro Outfit Style
With my style constantly changing, one such aspect has been my opinion on prints or patterns on clothing. Something I used to shy away from has suddenly without warning changed to a desire. I now actively seek out menswear with graphic prints, sweatshirts in particular featuring an abstract design emblazoned on the chest are a personal favourite!
These days we are seemingly spoilt for choice when searching for clothing which contains eye catching designs. My personal choices include the quirky designs from Remi Relief or the extravagant yet highly expensive pieces from Gucci or Givenchy. There is however another option available, the popularity of anything retro is at an all time high (from computer games to clothing) so I decided to dip my toe into the vintage fashion trend. My first stop on this journey was the Urban Outfitters store as they are usually bursting with classic clothing pieces!
Browsing their latest selection, my eyes were instantly drawn to a bright red sweatshirt. Lifting the item from the rail, I was greeted with the Disney mascot, Mickey Mouse! Wearing typical 90’s clothing and even riding a skateboard! The sweatshirt was in excellent condition, despite its age. Barely worn or washed with minimal signs of wear and a limited amount of bobbling. The print was also fully complete without any signs of ageing. Added bonus that it fitted nice and slim! My first retro clothing purchase was a success!
For my premiere outing wearing the Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, I chose to pair the vibrancy of the red with my beloved GRLFRND Candice Mid Rise Super Stretch Black Skinny Jeans to give a striking contrasting effect. My choice of footwear was my Giuseppe Zanotti Frankie Low Top Sneakers (reviewed here) and I completed the look with my trusty black New Era baseball cap.
