The French luxury brand was founded in 1967 by Loris Azzaro in the beautiful city of Paris, beginning its journey by creating a variety of stunning evening dresses (which even caught the eye of popular celebrities of the time, including Raquel Welch, Brigitte Bardot, and Sophia Loren). By 1975, Azzaro spread their wings further with the launch of their very first perfume (Azzaro Couture), which was followed by their men’s fragrance (Azzaro Pour Homme) in 1978.
Fast forward to 2026, and the brand has a string of different successful perfumes under its belt. They have now launched a new collaboration with The Perfume Shop to create the Azzaro Forever Wanted Absolu – so without further ado, let’s find out more!
Design
Before you even enjoy the luxury scent, you will be captivated by the overall design of the bottle – the revolver barrel design (now an iconic shape associated with the brand) has been coated in gold, which beautifully complements the brown/gold hue of the perfume, visible through the glass. The lid is just as visually effective with the name embossed into the top. Every aspect of the shape and structure oozes quality with a hint of flamboyance.
Scent
Azzaro has outdone itself with this scent – the aromatic flavour blends deep amber and woody notes together with vanilla and whisky accord to create something truly sensational for the senses.
