Lolita Lempicka Green Lover Men’s Perfume Review
The search for that perfect perfume can be a long road, filled with disappointment and overpriced brand names. Over the past few years, I have tried a variety of designer names to find my signature scent with very little success. Then, in a flash, I remembered a fantastic fragrance I used to wear many moons ago from Lolita Lempicka (which I adored!). My next decision was to seek out the brand’s latest release and find out if it can fill that void in my perfume collection.

Brand History
Lolita Lempicka, known for her creativity, artistry, and, of course, a wide range of perfumes, started her career in the industry in 1983. Initially, she launched a boutique (named “Nostalgia”) in France, combining vintage retro pieces with her own eye-catching creations.
After success in the fashion sector, thanks to her popular clothing items and accessories, she decided to focus on her passion: designing her own fragrance. The launch of her first perfume (in 1997) marked the start of a new growth phase for her brand, gaining popularity with each subsequent release (including her men’s collection).

It has to be well over 20 years ago (showing my age!) when I was first introduced to Lolita Lempicka with the Au Masculine perfume. Even the box made a fantastic first impression, with a bold green colour and very subtle branding. Once opened, you were instantly hit with a shade of contrasting purple.
The bottle itself was unusual yet stylish, bathed in transparent blue, with tree-like lines and grooves running across the glass, and a golden lid (which doubled as the spray button).
However, it was the scent that made it truly special. Even though time has created a distorted memory, I never forgot that it was unique, and nothing else on the market came close (I still have the original bottle, albeit empty!)—this now-discontinued classic blended liquorice, vanilla, and rum, creating a heavenly fragrance. If I recall, many of my friends at the time were green with envy every time I wore it!
As you can see, a lot is riding on Green Lover Men’s perfume; will it live up to the older masterpiece? Let’s find out!
Style & Design
The first word that comes to mind when describing the Green Lover bottle is “gorgeous” – the entire design follows its namesake, using a beautiful green hue within the glass that carries over to the clear lid and spray.
The brand has always favoured minimal branding, and this release is no different. The front of the bottle features an abstract shape, with the “Lempicka Green Lover” name standing out in an eye-catching font. An embossed brand name design follows at the lower front of the bottle. Before even sampling the scent, we are already on to a winner! Any stylish gent would be happy to have this perfume sitting proudly in their bathroom cabinet or on their bedroom side table.
Scent
Let’s be honest: the main reason to invest in a luxury perfume is the fragrance and how it reacts to your body. I put a lot of stock in Green Lover (as mentioned above, I have been searching for what feels like forever for my signature scent). Thankfully, I am delighted to report that this men’s release from Lolita Lempicka is absolutely fantastic! The blend of exotic ingredients creates a wonderful concoction of green mandarin, timut, and juniper berries, with a gin accord, topped off with musk, vanilla extract, and a hint of fresh minty leaves.
As a modern gent, this perfume is suitable for daywear (whether you are heading to the office, on a trip, or for a weekend shopping trip) and evening encounters (fancy events, a luxurious meal out, or a night on the town with friends).
Furthermore, Green Lover is 100% vegan and uses naturally sourced ingredients. During production, the brand uses no environmentally damaging filters, dyes, or endocrine disruptors – another plus point!

Packaging
After top marks for both the bottle design and the fragrance’s scent, it would be a disappointing second half if the box fell short, but don’t worry, Lempicka has scored a win in this sector too!
The Packaging opts for something very different (especially compared to other brands on the market), with a hand-patterned, nature-scenic design that showcases an inviting watery lagoon, the rocks beneath, waterfalls in the background, and a touch of greenery with tree branches and leaves at the forefront. This design carries on around all panels of the box (framed with a forest green border).
I was also pleasantly surprised when I lifted the lid; much like its predecessor, the inside of the box features a complementary colour, this time a deep navy blue (for a fantastic contrast effect). Happy to say, the brand has passed this test with flying colours again.
Final Thoughts
If, like me, you’ve been forever searching for a perfume that ticks all the boxes, then you should check out Green Lover from Lolita Lempicka – it’s a deliciously fruity scent (for both newcomers to the brand and fans of the retired Au Masculine release), all wrapped up in an aesthetically pleasing bottle.
Adding this zesty fragrance to your collection will invite endless compliments and, dare I say, a hint of jealousy from anyone you encounter. In short, this designer men’s perfume has jumped to the top of my favourites list, without a shadow of a doubt, top marks from me.
