I Tried The ELEMIS Men’s Grooming Range: Is It Worth Upgrading Your Routine
The men’s grooming sector has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, thankfully leaving behind the basic “soap & water” routine in the past where it belongs. An ever-increasing number of men now spend time on their grooming routine to make their skin glow and keep age at bay. To start, we have the facial wash (labelled Dynamic Resurfacing), which you should use as the first step in your routine. With a single click of the nozzle, the soft, creamy liquid will dispense into your hand. Add a splash of water and gently massage it into your skin.
This special blend of Babassu oil and cocos poria hydrates, soothes, and conditions, leaving your skin feeling extra soft! I have used a variety of different washes over the years, but nothing has come close to this refreshing experience.
This face wash also features Tri-Enzyme Technology, which aims to remove dead skin cells from the surface (most importantly, without damaging your natural skin barrier). So far, we’re off to a great start.
ELEMIS Daily Moisture Boost

Second, we will move on to the Daily Moisture Boost cream, marketed as an after-shave solution to calm your skin after a close shave removes unwanted facial hair. As I wear a beard (and have for some time), I only shave key areas of my face, primarily the cheeks and neck (apart from the odd random straggler!), but this moisturiser is still a useful part of my routine.
The ingredients are a mixture of Polynesian green tamanu oil and chestnut and bamboo that work together to rejuvenate your skin, leaving no sticky residue (unlike many competitor brands).

Last (but by no means least), there is the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream – this luxurious moisturiser is an actual game-changer for guys’ skincare.
Built specifically for men’s unique genetic makeup (and combining Ginkgo biloba, Wheat Germ oil, and Padina pavonica for those extra-special sea properties), it softens the skin, boosts elasticity, and reduces those unsightly fine lines and wrinkles.
After every use, your skin feels absolutely amazing, a joy to touch! I actually look forward to my grooming routine, not just for the long-term benefits, but because it leaves me feeling reinvigorated and refreshed, ready for the day ahead (or to relax at night before I hit the hay).
Style & Design
There is no doubt about it, the ELEMIS range oozes luxury, with each bottle designed with a minimalist aesthetic in mind, no garish colours, ugly fonts, or wild patterns in sight (thankfully!).
Instead, the brand has created a sleek design that will stand out in any modern gents’ designer bathroom cabinet. The face wash uses a cream/tan bottle (matching the silky contents) with brown text and a shiny silver and black lid/nozzle combo.
In contrast, the daily moisture boost and pro-collagen cream have gone in the opposite direction, with each bottle bathed in deep black with silver font and detailing. Although the wash and cream are polar opposites, they still work together in harmony through juxtaposition.
Packaging
The box design for each item follows suit, with the face wash opting for a light grey box with silver elements, while both moisturising creams settle on black packaging with dark metallic grey font and border details. These designs (although different from each other) sit together as equals, and look ultimately luxurious (which in itself is a validation of a quality grooming product).
Value For Money
ELEMIS is undoubtedly far away from anything close to “budget”, and you can quickly spend hundreds on an entire range of products in one swoop. However, despite the luxury price tag, the quality speaks for itself (and after all, your face, skin, and appearance will take you through life, unlike the ever-changing trends of catwalk fashion). If you want to enjoy a thoroughly cleansed, moisturised skin texture (with anti-ageing properties), then this collection is something that you cannot put a price tag on!
