Allsaints Falun Overcoat With J Brand Grey Skinny Jeans Outfit
As much as I love this time of year, the short hours of daylight is something that is one of my major gripes. However, it has the positive effect of being outside during the sunset, the sky is awash with some extraordinary colours at the fall of dusk. As can be seen in these outfit photos, albeit rather faintly is a hint at those beautiful skyscape hues.
I chose to wear my beloved Allsaints Falun Charcoal Overcoat once again, its double lining with its false blazer jacket is the perfect antidote for the freezing wind whipping around. Underneath I opted to wear my ASOS Heavyweight Jumper With Chunky Neck Trim in a lovely off white grey.
This was another first outing on my men’s fashion blog with a new pair of women’s skinny jeans from J Brand. The brand is ever so popular for celebs the world over, simple yet effective designs and washes are their forte, so I decided it was finally time to see what I was missing out on.
The J Brand Maria High Rise Skinny In Dove Jeans definitely lived up to those high expectations! Snug fitting, yet still super comfortable for long wears. The dove colour is a lovely medium grey which easily accompanies the dark charcoal shade of my coat. The inseam length is just shy of 30 inches, amply covering the leg opening of my Kurt Geiger Baxter Chelsea Boots. I definitely recommend these to any male fan of women’s skinny jeans, another brand I’m going to keep an eye on! Please let me know what you think in the comments, are you a fan of my latest choice of denim or my winter coat?
Short winter days annoy me because there’s little time to actually do things. But the dancing shadows and brilliant colors from the sun does make up for it. I didn’t even realize they were women’s jeans until you mentioned it. I think that you styled it really nicely with the overcoat. The colors and textures work really well together too.
Thanks very much Andrea, I’m a big fan of these jeans. Glad to hear that you couldn’t tell the difference!
Regarding the short days, like you said the stunning colours do make up for it somewhat!
Hi Adam! This outfit looks very chic and dapper on you! I really like the overcoat, and the grey shades in your outfit. Unisex jeans are definitely something I think we’ll see more of in the future. After all, womens’ jeans are often cut in a ‘boyfriend’ style, so it seems the gender distinctions are blurring.
I hate the short winter days too! But you’ve captured some lovely light in these images.
Hi Saba! Thanks for the comments! Maybe we will get unisex jeans advertised as such soon!
The coat is simply magnificent! A coat like that should make anyone long for the colder days to last longer. 😀
It is a great coat, finally found a good fitting overcoat! 🙂
Hey Adam, great coat! What size did you go with 34, 36? I’m 5’5″ and looking to purchase it on sale today, thanks!
I purchased the size 34, however it looks like it’s out of stock when I just checked. You could still try the 36, it might be ok for you!
