Tweed Suit With J Brand Skinny Jeans Outfit
Regular readers will remember that I recently dipped my toe into the world of suits, moving out of my casual style comfort zone and opting instead for a bold blue blazer and waistcoat! For my latest outfit post on my mens fashion blog I’ve decided to go one step further, choosing a classic tweed style look!
For my latest ensemble I selected the Cavani Albert Grey Tweed Suit, following on from the resounding success with my previous suit style. Fortunately this is one of a select few pieces in their collection that is available in very small sizes (perfect for me to achieve that fitted look I desire!). I paired the blazer and waistcoat with a slim fit white shirt and added a pop of colour with a vibrant purple tie and pocket square! Once again, I decided against wearing traditional trousers and instead picked out my favourite J Brand Maria High Rise Skinny Jeans In Dove to continue the sleek silhouette effect. The grey of the denim is a few shades lighter than the jacket, giving a subtle yet highly effective contrasting look to the outfit.
Browsing my footwear collection, my eyes zoned in on my Frank Wright Sundance Sahara Sand Chelsea Boots which are a rather unusual brown / grey colour. They have largely been unused, which is a shame as they are a beautiful pair of boots! Thankfully they complemented the rest of my outfit admirably. I’ve also came to the conclusion that I really need a pair of loafers, especially as I’m now venturing more into suit styles as the year progresses! I’m hoping to add a pair to my wardrobe in the very near future!
Please let me know what you think of my latest suit outfit in the comments below!

Thanks Matt, I should have more coming soon! 🙂
A great combo Adam, where the addition of the waistcoat ensures a look that is smarter than jeans and a blazer but less formal than a suit. You pull it off perfectly because the jeans are a slimmer fit than the trousers they are replacing.

Thanks a lot Dave, yeah that’s why I thought to change the trousers for the jeans 🙂
You should also try this combo with the top two thirds of a navy slim fit three piece business suit, which I find works well for doing presentations. The smart dark blue suit for above the waist carries the authority and the jeans reduce the formality.

I’ve seen looks like that before and it is quite cool, I will keep it in mind for the future!
