Wearing Golden Goose Slide Sneakers In The Summer
There is no doubt that I am a huge fan of Golden Goose Deluxe Brand (check here for evidence with my review of the Superstar!), but the slides are a different beast entirely to their low top cousins. In my latest post, I decided to wear them with one of my typical summer looks! Read on for more information.
Golden Goose Slide Sneakers are a stunning shoe, quite a lot different from their best selling Superstar Low tops, unfortunately, you rarely see anyone wearing them (In fact, I don’t think I have ever seen anyone wear them in real life – social media doesn’t count here!). Generally, it would be best to wear them with a typical street look such as skinny jeans, owing to their high top design. As we are in the middle of summer shorts are mostly a necessity during the daytime to ensure you can keep somewhat cool and fresh, because of this I was unsure how well my Goose slides would work, even so, I decided to give it a go!

Outfit
I began my outfit with an oversized, linen style cream T-Shirt from ASOS (which was already under fire as Lorna was not a fan, to say the least!), which I felt was different to my typical looks with its draping floaty appearance. I dug out my grey Topman skinny denim jeans (owned these years and still love them) which paired flawlessly as the grey was of a warmer tone. I was in two minds as to what sneakers to wear with the outfit, but Lorna suggested my new Goose slides as they are an olive-brown colour, after placing them next to the rest of my outfit we decided it was the best option. Once the ensemble was pieced together and worn, I felt it was different yet a good look for me! (Lorna was still unconvinced – you cannot please everybody!).
I completed the outfit with a pair of Ray-Ban Aviators with brown lenses and a selection of different jewellery pieces – Omega Aqua Terra Seamaster Watch (reviewed here), threaded bracelet, ring and necklace from Emanuele Biccochi, leather bracelet from Valentino and finally a bangle from Marco Dal Maso.
Location
We found a new and little-used area for our shoot, out of the way, so there were very few pedestrians, thus fewer instances in which we had to stop shooting. Overall it is a lovely location, featuring a sizeable high step for sitting photos and a rustic style church as the background. Bonus points for the site are that it is entirely enclosed, keeping the bright sunshine at bay which helps dramatically when trying to get workable conditions.
