Women’s Skinny Jeans For Men Outift

Denim jeans are one of my favourite items of clothing. I’ve been wearing them for as long as I can remember, gradually over time my preference has slowly been edging towards a slimmer fit, this has been helped along by the trend of super skinny jeans over the last few years. However, this is where a problem begins, namely comfort. Trying to squeeze into these very slim jeans is a task in itself, especially with 100% cotton! It’s not just the initial problem of getting them on, but extended wear throughout the day can become quite troublesome to say the least. The feeling of pressure and the lack of movement are pretty big negative points for me.

With these downsides with men’s skinny jeans I was recommended to actually try women’s skinny jeans. I’ve read numerous accounts of men wearing women’s jeans to get the fit they wanted, even celebs such as Harry Styles and Mick Jagger have publicly admitted to their love of female denim.

The pair I chose to feature on my men’s fashion blog for my first foray into this undiscovered area is the Citizens Of Humanity Rocket High Rise Crop Jeans in Aura, containing a combination of Cotton, Lyocell, Rayon and Spandex materials to get a super stretchy feel. When I first received them I was taken aback at how visually stunning the wash is, it’s been a long time since I’d seen a medium blue colour with such vibrancy and depth, definitely on par with the Diesel washes of the mid to late 00’s when they were in their prime. Needless to say I was suitably impressed with the colour, so a great start. Next was to see how they actually fitted!

I chose a size 27, my normal men’s size is a 30/31, so quite a dramatic difference, but to my surprise they pulled on fairly easily, tight yes, but they didn’t feel immediately constricting. In fact despite their snug fit, they actually felt refreshingly comfortable! I could move about freely, even so much as lifting my leg up without any trouble. So far so good. I spent the day wearing them and breaking them in, within a couple of hours wear they had started to give a little and stretched a decent amount. I imagine after a few more wears they will be the perfect size. This particular pair and wash only come in a cropped cut, however as I normally wear a 30 inseam they were just the right length for me to hit at the ankles.

Comparing these to Diesel Jogg Jeans (which I’m a huge fan of) renowned for their softness, I’d still say the Citizens beat them hands down. Joggs are comfortable of course, but after a short amount of wears they begin to lose their shape, sagging in all the wrong places, giving a slightly unflattering look. The Citizens of Humanity Rockets do not suffer from these shortcomings.

Overall, my first experience with women’s jeans for men has been a success. Super comfortable and snug all over, just what I was looking for, teamed up with a truly beautiful wash, Citizens Of Humanity have created the perfect pair of skinny jeans that we can all enjoy! For those interested in the outfit, I wore these jeans with my Bottega Veneta Driving Shoes, an ASOS T-Shirt and my Omega Aqua Terra Seamaster Watch. How many of you men opt to wear women’s skinny jeans?

Women’s jeans (even boot cut) has a much better closer fit to the body and holds it’s form all day. I used to wear men’s super skinny jeans from Hot Topic, I’m actually a waist 26-28, so I was thrilled when Hot Topic had that skin tight fit with a good price range (but they don’t stretch much and actually felt lack of movement down stairs), but on online forums, I discovered that women’s jeans might be the fit I’m looking for. After many trials and errors, I finally figured my size in junior’s which is 0 or 1 (depending on the brand), plus they stretch!

Judging from your pictures, your jeans look very conservative compared to those fashion jeans girls wear. I’ve been so comfy in my jeans and skin so to say, I actually wear jeans like Hollister, American Eagle, YMI Wanna betta butt jeans, jeggings, and now I even purchased a boyfriend skinny jean with the most best fit I’ve ever worn in a pair of denim. Despite certain jeans like YMI, I still look like a guy wearing a nice pair of jeans, of course a little bit extra with some of their designs (especially on back pockets), but in the end, nobody really bats an eye.

I like women’s jeans as long as it’s a neutral color like blue, black, navy, khaki, but not hot pink lol! I can’t stop buying them and they’re always on specials!

Before I knew about trying women’s I used to wear Diesel jeans, usually Zathan for bootcut or Viker for a straight leg. However I used to size down 1 or even 2 sizes to get the fit I required, it was sometimes a struggle to button them up, even though the leg area was fairly easy to fit. Your size of 26-28, is that in men’s jeans or women’s? I’m generally a 30 in men’s but in the Citizens I’m a 27 which is a massive difference!

For colouring, I agree I could only go for the neutral washes too!

It’s 26-28 in men’s, so in women’s it would be 24 or 0. some brands I would still have to size up to 25 or 1.

I don’t know if you ever heard of the brand Amethyst Jeans? It’s supposed to be a skinny boot cut western styled, but they have cute trendy back pockets that make them as fashionable as skinny jeans, and still have that skinny fit with a slight flair (not bell bottoms!) at the leg so you can fit boots. They have classic washes and also conservative styles if you don’t want bling.

These jeans, yes the back pockets might be a tell it’s women’s, pretty much like American Eagle, the the style of the jean isn’t really girly and it can fit slender guys pretty well. The fabric has stretch, but it still has a nice denim sturdy material, nothing like jeggings. Is there a way to upload pictures here to show the jeans I’m talking about?

I’d never heard of that Amethyst brand before, just taken a look. They do have a nice skinny look, once upon a time I’d have tried them, but these days I leave bootcut/flare alone.

You could try making a post here http://forum.thejeansblog.com/forum/women-s-jeans-for-men
They have a specific section for women’s jeans for men too!

So if I need a 32 inseam and ideally want more of a low rise jean, what do you recommend? In a diesel (to compare), I wear a 30 or 31.

What would you count as a lower rise? How many inches? Women’s low rise is entirely different to men’s low rise as it’s always shorter!
