Autumn Style With Grand Frank
As we are steadily approaching winter, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to look back at one of my recent outfits which gathered inspiration from the beautiful orange autumn leaves.
Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, the golden hue of the leaves infused with the flattering lighting creates unenviable conditions when it comes to creating content (if only it were this easy throughout the whole 12 months!). Even though this time of year often paints a sensational treat for the eyes, the last few weeks have been unfortunately marred with heavy bouts of terrible weather, constant rain and strong wind (not ideal when attempting to take photos!). Fortunately, on the day we planned this particular shoot, Mother Nature was on her best behaviour, in fact, She even gave us a bonus of golden hour lighting at the close of the day (you can’t ask for better than that!).

Outfit
The outfit was centred around a few main pieces from fashion brand – Grand Frank, who’s collection consists of a range of timeless stand out pieces that any man would be only too happy to include in their wardrobe. The Naples Cognac Suede Jacket (which is the centrepiece) is one of their flagship items, and it is easy to see why! The jacket is an exceptional combination of craftsmanship and design, as soon as you remove it from the packaging you will be taken aback by its quality, special mention must go to the material – the suede is dreamily soft and supple.
I paired the jacket with a cream coloured henley shirt, which is another item from Grand Frank, excellent quality and fits like a dream (earlier attempts at wearing henley style knitwear has generally been met with misfortune, particularly with the fit).
The trousers for the outfit were a pair of black skinny fit style from River Island; I needed something sleek and simple to not detract from the wonderful orange tones of the jacket. I had similar intentions with my choice of footwear, opting for my pointy black zip-up boots from Saint Laurent inspired brand – From The First.
Finally, we have the details, picking out several of my regulars (Daniel Wellington Watch, Valentino Leather Studded Bracelet) with a few newbies – Pearls Before Swine Rings and a stand out gold cuff from Grand Frank.
Location
As mentioned earlier in the post, the weather was staying dry and relatively warm, so our visit to Bristol for the shoot boasted ideal conditions. The actual location was a square a small distance from the Mercure Bristol Holland House we were staying at (reviewed here), which I had reconned earlier via maps and images. When we reached the location, the lighting was steadily heading into the golden hour (so speed was a necessity), I positioned myself near the edge of the square close to the road, allowing the backdrop of autumn leaves to feature in the photos. I was happy with how the images turned out, even more so once I edited them, allowing the colours to come to life. I have made a mental note about this area of Bristol as well, so many sections on offer for future shoots.
