Brand History
The ZanyLen brand launched way back in 1984 (which alone tells you that they have experience in the field of fashionable eyewear products). They are based in Singapore and boast a wide range of different materials used across their different models of glasses (including titanium, acetate, and eco-friendly TR90), along with taking a firm positive stance on sustainability (by using biodegradable content in their frames, bags, and packaging).
ZanyLen is unique in that its eyewear range includes not only sunglasses (to protect your eyes from the powerful rays of the sun) but also prescription glasses (to improve poor vision). However, for the latter, they offer a package that includes prescription glasses and two additional clip-ons. Polarised black to defend against sun glare and harmful rays, and polarised yellow, which are built for low-light conditions, to improve the overall contrast of your vision, delivering a much clearer view during your evening travels.
The Gavin Eyeglasses
The Gavin model (as featured in the accompanying images) opts for a timeless design, harking back to the iconic 50s and 60s fashions, while also looking fashionably on-point for current trends.
This pair is available in three distinct colourways (gunmetal, black, and brown), and the frame is assembled from high-end titanium, which is lightweight (only 20 grams) for ease of wear. The set includes the aforementioned black and yellow polarised clips to aid your vision during both bright sunny days and darker evenings. Furthermore, they can ‘flip-up’ when worn so that you can adjust your vision on the fly.
The packaging needs special mention too – the eyewear arrives packaged neatly within a solid off-white box, with a magnetic lid-closure. Inside, you will discover a leather case to protect your brand-new eyewear from damage. Additionally, there is a handful of extra accessories (ear hooks, screwdriver, silicone nose pads, microfiber cloth, and a dust bag) that complete the package. The total cost of this set sits just below £70, which is a great deal for the style, quality, and functionality on offer!
