Balmain Washed Blue Logo Sweatshirt
Now Christmas is over and we are into a new year, I’ve resumed browsing my favourite online haunts to see if there is anything that catches my eye (even if it is only window shopping). One of my first destinations was the ever dependable Mr Porter.
I am quite the fan of sweatshirts, particularly branded types which are all the rage at the moment, whilst browsing through Mr Porters newest arrivals I encountered a stand out Balmain Washed Blue Sweatshirt. I’m normally not a big fan of the brand and their use of bold colours and interesting design choices but this new release is a new direction for the brand.
Offering a simple blue all over colour with a washed effect, the depth shown in its bright baby blue hue is stunning, its authentic look is on the money. The sweatshirt features the company’s logo across the chest, albeit in a slanted font (rather than the normal bold lettering they typically opt for) which was showcased in their SS19 collection, inspired by music legend – Michael Jackson. All this completes a particularly striking sweatshirt from the Italian brand, something which I may need to add-on to my wish list (Along with one of their iconic white T-Shirts).
