A man’s shirt is the ultimate wardrobe essential, allowing you to create formal, casual, and alternative style looks with ease – in my latest blog post, I style two new releases from the premium menswear brand Double Two. Continue reading to see more.
It is not the first time I have featured the Double Two brand on my blog; their luscious display of button-ups has taken centre stage in many of my outfit ensembles (such as this Father’s Day outfit). For this latest feature, I will be checking out two of the new wildly different shirts from their latest collection.
Double Two Blue & Peach Seawool Casual Shirt
First, we have the blue & peach sea wool shirt, which showcases the importance of sustainable clothing (especially since the advent of wasteful fast fashion); it is vital that we look after our world before it is too late. This shirt ticks all of those eco-friendly boxes as the material used is made using discarded oyster shells blended with recycled polyester, which not only helps the environment but is also super soft!
For my outfit, I went for a casual vibe using the button-up as an over-shirt style (the extra-thickness of the fabric is a plus point), its peach and blue hues pairing well with my pink tee and pale grey skinny jeans. Adding a pair of white high-tops and a washed grey baseball cap gave it an extra street-style vibe. I completed the ensemble with aviator sunglasses and a selection of jewellery pieces – rings, bracelets, and an automatic watch.
Double Two Black & Bronze Floral Print Formal Shirt
Next up, we have the frankly gorgeous black and bronze shirt featuring a delightful floral print design. The collar uses neck sizing paired with a tailored cut, allowing for a much slimmer and more refined fit. It is definitely a stand-out piece from the new collection.
I went for a Hedi Slimane inspiration for my outfit, rocking this fancy button-up with sleek skinny-fit black trousers and a pair of pointy-heeled boots matched with a thin belt. I topped this off with a black fedora hat and a smattering of silver jewellery pieces to complete the look.
Both looks were worn within the cityscape of Birmingham, using the iconic architecture as a backdrop. The urban overshirt getup employed the roadside visuals to great effect, whereas the tall brown building used for the floral shirt was the perfect environment for the smarter second ensemble.
Both of these outfits are drastically different, yet that shows the sheer amount of style options available from the range of shirts from Double Two. With each new collection, I fall in love with the brand more and more, I’m excited to see what they bring out next!
