How To Style A Beige Hoodie
Beige hoodies are an essential addition to any wardrobe, yet because of its subtle colouring, often dismissed in favour of either vibrant alternatives or even the classic black. For my latest men’s fashion blog post, I will give you an insight into how I styled mine. Read on for more!
I’ve always liked the earthy colour tones; it is why I love the autumn when the stores are awash with browns, burgundies and of course beiges. I find that particular season a lot more fluid when it comes to pairing pieces together; everything seems to gel together perfectly. Even so, some of those colours are all year long wearables, with beige clothing in particular something which transcends easily between the different seasons. Despite this, it is still easy to get it wrong and style this understated colour incorrectly and match it up with something unsuitable.
As beige is one of the muted colours within the spectrum, I find it is best not to overpower it with those that are much stronger. Instead, I would recommend to pair it with complementary colours which look similar – white, tan, cream or even black (which goes with basically anything) with the option of adding warmer greys into the mix. Out of all of the different options, I would recommend another beige for a striking well put together ensemble! Bonus points can be added if it is a spot on colour match.

The beige sweatshirt I picked out to style with this outfit is an oversized hoodie from Forage, featuring a simple design with only two small logos displaying the brand (one on the left side of the chest and the other near the cuff). For the longest time, I resisted the relaxed clothing trend (I always favour more fitted items), but I am slowly embracing this current in vogue look if partnered with a pair of fitted casual pants it can exude a fashionable contrasting image. My choice for this outfit was a pair of washed black skinny jeans, borderline dark grey which as previously mentioned will complement any shade of beige in your wardrobe.
I reached for my Adidas Yeezy Static from my footwear collection, bestowing a street style vibe to my appearance. I’ve worn these sneakers a handful of times since acquiring them on the day of release (it paid to get up early in the morning!), and I can’t help but fall in love with them each and every time, it remains to be seen whether this is partly down to the exclusivity factor! Alternatives would be simple white sneakers or anything sharing a similar colour palette to the hoodie, such as beige or tan (I would avoid black shoes as it would be too harsh).
I dug out my Tommy Hilfiger Baseball Cap which is an almost identical counterpart to the hooded sweat. Fortunately, it also boasts a minimal design despite the brand usually opting for an in your face style; just a small flag is present on the front. I find adding 1 or 2 pieces to an outfit which are an exact match work well, especially if it is an overall problematic colour to style by itself.
I completed the look with a few accessories all in black to coordinate with the dark denim. The bracelet and ring feature a simple yet effective design aspect in keeping with the minimalist criteria of my outfit (both featured in a previous men’s jewellery review) and I paired with my Rado Skeleton Automatic Watch which too, sports a darker colour palette.
- Here is a quick rundown of tips for a beige hoodie outfit.
- Choose a fitted or oversized beige hooded sweatshirt.
- Opt for similar colours in the spectrum; the exception is black and dark grey.
- Wear street style trainers or sneakers, go for minimal designs.
- Match your accessories, silvers, blacks or beige.

I wore this outfit during a trip to Cardiff via train, after alighting, I became instantly enthralled by the wide open space visible at the end of the platform (no people or vehicles, just nothingness mixed in with lighting and metal structures). The sunlight was continually coming in and out, so we had to move fast once the sunlight was at the ideal point just behind the clouds. Since editing the photos, I am delighted with how they turned out; I can safely attest that I will be looking for similar locations in the future! Makes a refreshing change from the typical city streets I often use.
