Raging Bull Quilted Field Jacket Review
It’s review time again on my men’s fashion blog, and with Winter in full swing, what better time to inspect the Quilted Field Jacket from Raging Bull. Read on for more.
Raging Bull has been a brand gaining traction in the last few years; their tagline tells it all – Integrity, pride and passion.
The brand was the brainchild of Rugby legend Phil Vickery, and the name itself is the nickname he acquired during his long tenure on the field, thanks to commentator Sir Clive Woodward. Founded in 2003, shortly after England’s World Cup win, initially created as a sportswear brand whose goal was to supply kits for grassroots rugby clubs. In 2007 things started to build up when the brand moved sector from a small sports brand to a much bigger lifestyle focus.
For my review of the brand, I will be taking an in-depth look at one of their outerwear pieces, namely the Quilted Field Jacket and find out more about the design and quality of one of the popular flagship items in their collection.
Style & Design
The field jacket is undeniably a classic which is unlikely to go out of favour any time soon, based on the military-style jacket of the same name, albeit with a British countryside vibe. This outerwear product is all black with a criss-cross style design that is both fashionable and functional in equal measure. The jacket features two front button down pockets along with a concealable zip section; the branding is notably minimal, with only a Raging Bull logo adorning one of the sleeves.
Comfort & Wearability
As soon as you slip the jacket on, you feel the softness of the quilting engulf you with warmth (undeniably a necessity in these cold winter days!), especially when paired with a heavy-duty knit. The outer material is a sleek polyester which is soft to the touch. This jacket is subtle in its design, black with a minimal amount of buttons so that you can pair it with almost anything – my particular favourite would be heavy-duty denim jeans and a pair of work boots for a classic ensemble.
I opted for my usual size of a small, as to be expected from this quality brand, the fit was spot on – everything fitted perfectly, including when buttoned-up, and even the sleeve length sat comfortably at my wrists (often, where many brands fall down for me).
Value For Money
Sitting at a very reasonable price point of £125, this Raging Bull Field Jacket takes out most of the competitors who price this style of jacket much higher and regularly with a much lower quality level.
The Raging Bull Field Jacket features a beautiful classic design, comfortable to wear on almost any occasion with a hard to beat price. If you are on the lookout for a low-profile yet eye-catching jacket, then this classic piece will be just what you are looking for to fill your wardrobe.
